Fares and Ticketing Courses

The Guild entered the field of Fares and Ticketing Courses in 2004 following the sale of the two main training providers, Chameleon and TTC Training, by British Airways and ABTA respectively. This meant that there was no longer a training provider in this area which was in the hands of a major industry body. The Guild filled this gap initially by commissioning courses to be written in conjunction with Virgin Atlantic Airways at what were then known as IATA Levels 1 and 2 as manual courses. The Guild has subsequently also produced a GDS based course in conjunction with Galileo which is endorsed by Star Alliance.

The provision of course materials is fulfilled on behalf of the Guild by the Confederation of Tourism, Hotel and Catering Management. Further information can be obtained from Rosemary Mould on rosemary@cthcm.com
