Surveys

The GTMC publishes a range of surveys for members which are widely used by the media and policymakers in the Departments for Transport and Business.

  • Transaction Survey - the GTMC’s quarterly and full year survey monitors the number of transactions by GTMC members across a range of categories including car hire, hotel, rail, aviation, and ancillary services. The combination of quantitative data and qualitative feedback successfully illustrates trends in the business travel sector and is a barometer for how the economy is faring.
  •  Technology Survey - this anonymised annual survey summarises the front, mid and back office systems in use by travel management companies. Members and partners can view the complicated mixture of software used and provided by today's TMCs.
  • Salary Survey - this bi-annual survey of GTMC members benchmarks the salary levels of those working in the business travel sector. Members can view average salaries for key travel management roles across the English regions, Scotland and Wales.
  • Benefits Survey - this annual survey of illustrates the complex and diverse mix of benefits and incentives available to the employees of GTMC members.
