Corporate travel agency adds partners in south-eastern Africa
The GTMC, the UK’s leading professional industry body representing travel management companies, has announced that it will be recruiting a manager industry partners, to be based at the GTMC offices in London’s Tottenham Court Road and reporting to chief executive Paul Wait.
The GTMC, the UK’s leading organisation representing travel management companies, has announced that Statesman Travel Group’s joint managing director Mervyn Williamson will takeover the role of GTMC treasurer from Travel by Appointment’s Maurice Veronique. Well qualified for the role, Williamson, as did Veronique, had an accountancy background before entering the travel industry. Former GTMC chairman Veronique has resigned from the GTMC executive committee as he is relocating to Los Angeles.
The GTMC has announced its most high profile ever line-up of conference speakers for its 2012 overseas conference, being held in Doha (11th-13th May). For the first time 50% of the speakers and panelists taking part in the two-day business programme will be from outside the travel management sector.
A Fair tax on Flying *(FToF) campaign today announced the addition of two
new members - the Guild of Travel Management Companies (GTMC) and the
World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC). The FToF campaign also confirmed that it is in dialogue with a number of other organisations about participation in the group.
