NEW MEMBER JOINS GBTA
The Guild of Business Travel Agents has signed up a new member, Key Travel.
Established some 22 years ago, Key Travel employs over one hundred staff and has offices in London and Manchester. The company was invited to join the Guild as it met membership criteria, namely a proven profitable track record, turnover of at least £8 million, and high standards of service.
Membership benefits include access to suppliers at top management level; the opportunity to subscribe to a neutral out of hours service; professional guidance on technology developments and employment issues; exclusive training courses for members' staff and access to lowest available fares through GBTA subsidiary Guildfare.
Philip Carlisle, Chief Executive, GBTA said: “We monitor the industry closely in order to be aware of potential new members. Provided a business travel management company meets the appropriate criteria, and membership would be mutually beneficial, we are open to inviting them to join the Guild. We are delighted to welcome Key Travel to the Guild and look forward to developing a close relationship with the company.”
Harish Sodha, Managing Director Key Travel commented: “We are looking forward to playing an active part in the GBTA's activities and benefiting from the services the Guild offers. In spite of the difficulties the industry has faced recently, Key Travel is continuing to grow and so now is the right time for us to join the GBTA.”
The addition of Key Travel brings the GBTA's total membership to 35 business travel management companies.
