Payments, Finance and Industry Affairs Strategy Group
The Payments and Industry Affairs Strategy Group has the increasingly complex task of monitoring legal, regulatory and financial issues which impact on the business travel sector. From Westminster to Brussels and Geneva to London the group has a watching brief on regulation which may impact TMC's or their corporate clients, providing guidance to Members as appropriate. 

Objectives 
  • Monitor legal, regulatory and financial issues in the business travel sector.
  • Advise and support changes in regulations that impact on payment procedures and policies. 
  • Oversee the GTMC's relationship with IATA, RDG and other related bodies 
  • Agree the GTMC's lobbying position on regulatory and tax matters.  
Typically, participants in this strategy group are Financial Directors / Managers, CEO's, Industry Affairs and Commercial Managers drawn from the GTMC Membership.  This group gives you the opportunity to voice your opinions / concerns on topics such as BSP remittance, IATA payments and processes, industry commissions, TARIFF and the hot topics of the day, such as PSD2, GDPR and PCI Compliance.

Ajaya Sodha | GTMC



Ajaya Sodha founded Key Travel in 1980. From humble beginnings of a one room office, the business has flourished into an international operation with 8 offices worldwide. In 2013 he sold his majority share to a management buyout and continues to be a part of the new team serving as Head of Industry Affairs.

Ajaya plays an active role in the travel industry and as such became a Director of the GTMC in 2009, served as Deputy Chairman in 2011 and finally Chairman from 2012-2015. He continues to serve on the Board of the GTMC and chairs the Industry Affairs Strategy Group.

In 2009 Ajaya became a Director of the Guild of European Business Travel and serves as Chairman since 2014.
